DIY Uplighting is part of SB Lite, a specialist lighting company founded in 2011. Noticing a gap in the market for a simple, easy to use uplighter, we set out to design our own. By removing all the complicated features found on modern uplighters we were able to create a budget friendly, easy to use option. Our uplighter is perfect to transform the decor of any venue, event or wedding.
The remote controls all of the lights and you can chnage the colour via a touch of the remote. All you need to do is turn the uplighter on and put them where they need to be.
No running cables or complicated instructions
Our packages are sent out via courier to an address to suit you, then after your event you simply drop them off at your local drop-off point.

4 Simple Steps
The first step is to choose the package you require, confirm your date and book it with us. Once you've submitted your online booking we will contact you and confirm your date is available.
The online booking form will tell you when the lights will be delivered and when they need to be returned. We also have the option for the lights to be delivered earlier or on a pre-12 morning delivery.
The lights will be sent out via courier. Each box contains 10 lights. These can be sent to you or direct to your venue. We use DPD to deliver the lights and they should send you a text with a 1 hour window on the day of your delivery.
Set them up in your venue, as these are battery powered they are very quick and simple to use. Simply take them out of the case, turn them on and place them where you want to uplight. Use the remote control to set your colour.
After your event, place everything back in the box with the origonal packaging and follow the instructions to return everything to us. You can drop off at your local drop-off point or have the lights directly collected*. When we receive your lights back we will check everything and return your security deposit.
* Additional charge for a collection direct from yourself.All of our packages require a £75 security deposit per 10 lights, in addition to the price. So long as everything is returned on time and in the same condition as per our terms and conditions this is then refunded after the hire.

How long does the battery last?
The battery’s are designed to last at least 8 hours.
Can I book a different quantity of lights?
We only book the lights in multiples of 10. If you require more than 30 please contact us and we can quote you for this.
Do they come with a charger?
We do not send chargers, the lights come fully charged ready to use.
How big are the lights?
The lights are approximately 17cm tall by 10cm wide.
How large is the box?
Each box holds 10 lights and is 53 x 36 x 25cm, weighing about 10kg.

How long do they take to setup?
The lights take a few minutes to setup a full room. You simply turn them on using the switch, place them around the room and set the colour on the remote. Watch the video here.
Are the lights PAT tested?
As the lights are battery powered they do not require a PAT test.
